Best decision ever

Hi there! I’m 23 years old mum to be from Poland. I must admit that I was biased (in a bad way) when it comes to k-pop because of some girls from my high school. So, when I found out that Boy with Luv is by a k-pop band, I was really surprised. I’m a Halsey fan and that’s how I discovered boys, through their song that was on her Spotify playlist. So, when it turned out that it’s such a bop, I listened to the whole Persona album and I was so impressed! I had no idea that they rap too, and lyrics just blew me away. I’m ashamed to say it but I didn’t expect anything deep from them… I’m glad that I gave them a chance because I never left after. It’s been over 2 years now.

BTS is like a free therapy session to me. They helped me realise that it’s okay to take things slow and to not have a big dream. I’m a student but because of my depression and now being pregnant, I had to take breaks from University. And at first it was hard because all my friends didn’t seem to struggle as much as I do but then I thought that it’s okay. Graduating isn’t the most important thing, being healthy for myself and my child is. And I also realised that this is my dream. Being the best mum and wife that I can be.

I feel like words can’t describe how happy I am to have them in my life. I admire so much that they talk openly about their own struggles. I think that’s why they are so popular; they’re relatable, honest, and fun to watch. Not mentioning their crazy performance skills… As a person who struggles with mental health, it’s so so so important to hear from someone so successful that they have their own problems too, that it’s normal and that it’s okay to feel bad sometimes. I know they cheer for me and I do the same for them. We don’t know each other but I know I can count on them, like we’re friends. Even though I don’t know them, I got to know so many amazing people thanks to them… Stanning BTS is for sure one of the best decisions I made in my life.
