A journey of a lifetime: my story with BTS

I’m not so sure where to begin what I want to say, since so many emotions are coming towards me as I’m trying to tell my story. My story with BTS. Writing that sentence down warms my heart, knowing that I am part of something so special, the mesmerizing world of Bangtan Sonyeondan. 💜
I’m Virág (but you can call me Viri), an 19-year-old girl from Hungary (the centre of Europe), living in Budapest. I was only 14 when I first met BTS. I saw Dope playing on TV, and I was quite surprised by how catchy the song was. I immediately looked them up on Youtube, and that’s when the miracle happened. I found many, many good songs of theirs and I started listening to them. I watched the translations of each of their songs, and I started following their lives. It was the best decision of my life. I became so close to them and since then, I have never left their side. I was there, even though I couldn’t attend to any of their concerts due to my age, I was there. I listened to what they wanted to tell us through their songs, I watched them and supported them from my heart. Back then, no one around me knew about them, or even if they did, they laughed at them and at me as well for supporting them. I did not care about that, because the only important thing was for me to find happiness and joy, and I found it in BTS. I found everything I was looking for, and even things I didn’t know I needed in my life. They helped me to get through difficulties in my life, and they taught me so many things. Hearing their stories made me think about my life, and how not to give up, even when things get wrong. I didn’t love myself back then, I actually hated myself, the way I looked, my appearance, everything in me. They encouraged me to be brave, so I stood up for myself, and I managed to fight until I was satisfied with myself. Now I can bravely tell you that I love myself, and it’s all thanks to BTS. During the pandemic, I faced so many difficulties, I lost family members, and I had to graduate after a year of online school, but they were there for me. I especially want to thank them for their song Life Goes On, which has a huge impact on me every time I listen to it. They gave me hope with that song, they lifted me up from the ground, and I’m truly thankful for that.
I couldn’t imagine what was it like to love someone as much as I love BTS. I  admire and adore each member equally. They are so unique, talented and truly are amazing people. Their own, separate worlds, their personalities inspire me every day. I really look up to each of them.
I want to thank you Namjoon, Jin, Yoongi, Hobi, Jimin, Taehyung and Jungkook for working hard for your dear ARMY day by day, and for loving us unconditionally forever. You mean the world to us, just as much as we mean the world to you. This relationship between us is irreplaceable, unbreakable and is for a lifetime. I send you lots of warm hugs from Hungary, I really hope to see you as soon as possible, and remember: We are always there, we got your back no matter what.

Viri 💜
