The Best Worst Moments In Life
“ Back then I didn’t know how to love myself but with the help of Kim Namjoon, Kim Seokjin, Min Yoongi, Jung Hoseok, Park Jimin, Kim Taehyung and Jeon Jungkook I learnt that self love is the best love and broken things are still beautiful.”
How BTS saved my life
This is my bts story
My ARMY Adventure
Annyeong 🙂 My journey to becoming an ARMY is not the common story. My basis for saying this, is because ALL the ARMYs that I encountered either became an ARMY because of a song, or a member, or an event in their life. For me, it was a different story… I was going along with my daily “usual” life. And by “usual” life, I mean taking care of my family (because I am a stay at home mom), doing my chores and my errands. And in between my itinerary was two shows — Kdramas and the Graham Norton Show (GNS). I had been a Kdrama addict since the “Boys Over…
Beautiful. Timely. Special: My Journey with BTS
It all began with ‘Butterfly’.
The Gift of BTS
On New Year’s Eve 2017 my 11 year old middle child found BTS. Never one to shy away from things unique and different, she entered 2018 and the BTS rabbit hole full throttle. Watching from an acceptable mom-distance, I tried not to cramp her style, but asked her to play songs as we traveled that summer. She’d talk excitedly about the entire group, her bias V, and the music. When BTS’ October 2018 show at Citifield was announced, taking place the day before her 12th birthday, I knew going to the concert together would be the perfect gift for her. What I didn’t know, was that I’d receive a gift…
A day may come when we lose, but it is NOT TODAY!
Hi, I am a 51 year old mother of two, a 23 year old son and 13 year old daughter. Both of them do not like K-pop; however, in May 2018, my son, Caleb, introduced me to K-pop as a joke. He knows I typically do not like pretty boy bands, but I used to love N-Sync for their dance moves. I guess he thought maybe I’d like Big Bang. I didn’t. They were too much for me. Then, he showed me BTS’s video, “Blood, Sweat, and Tears.” Meh. They’re cute and can dance really well, but they look snobby and serious. I don’t like them. He gave up. Fast…
Lost and Found
At first I was a little (ok, very) embarrassed that I was becoming obsessed with a K-pop boy band. It felt like I was regressing into my teen years and that was somehow wrong.
BTS, my parenting tip…
I came to know BTS this year. 2021. At a time when we are all confined in our homes. I was scared of the virus. Scared of the vaccine. Scared of the future. Scared even of the outside air. I was particularly scared of showing my own fears too much because I have a little soul who draws strength from me. He is scared, too and worried about not going to school, not seeing his classmates, not playing outside. I searched for ways how to teach him how to be brave, how not to give up easily, how not to be overcome by fears. As a modern mom, I used…
BTS, the heroes of my life
BTS are my heroes, they saved my life and made me happy again. They made me overcome my sadness and loneliness I'm so thankful to them. I really wish they stay happy and healthy forever! I purple you guys, forever 🙂
BTS Gave Me Back My Smile
I’m not diagnosed with any mental illness but I’ve been stressed and hurt by people around me which make me sad and depressed. Even the very person close to me is giving me a hard time. This has made me really sad. It makes me cry all the time and the smile has left me. I’m blessed that I have four sisters and friends whom I talked to but it wasn’t enough. I still feel empty, alone and sad. Work and home are my struggles till this day. My sister who is a BTS ARMY introduced BTS to me when she was about to watch their Paris concert in October…
BTS – MY HAPPINESS
Story of an 18 years old Indian girl who started fangirling BTS 3 years ago and how it changed her.
A Family Affair
Non-linear. Maybe I went a bit too literally with this headline. But that’s my story. I’d never thought I would fall for a boy group in my 50’s, and I was trying to resist for quite some time …
BTS saved me through the pandemic!
Music has always been an important part of my life. I was always in the choir and I played the flute for about 10 years through school. My first “group crush” was The Monkees! Yes, I know, most of you are asking who? My name is Vickie, and I am 66 years young. I first saw BTS when they were very young. I don’t remember what show they were on or what song they sang and danced to, but I remember I liked them! But as life goes, mine got unbelievably busy with my mother’s illness and baby grandchildren. Somewhere in there, along with my family, I started listening to…
BTS expanded my heart
I wanted to write something deeper, more well thought out but kept stumbling with what I wanted to say so am just going to write from the heart. As relatively new Army, and a much, much older Army, sometimes I feel I have to justify when I discovered BTS, like I am penalized for not having found them earlier. Sometimes, but rarely I believe, people come into your life that make you shine. They make you feel more loving and giving, towards yourself and others. They make you feel joyful and euphoric and good about yourself and your world. That is what BTS did for me. I honestly can’t pinpoint…
My Journey
InDec 2017 I had a car accident that put me in the hospital for almost a year. I found BTS browsing through youtube. I enjoyed their music during long physical therapy sessions. While in my bed I watched Run episodes and other videos. They made me laugh and their message helped me realize I was going to be ok and to look to the future that I almost didn’t have. They have given me a renewed sense of self. I don’t think they know how many people they have touched
The Beginning

When you need them most
I am a mom, wife, daughter, a former environmental chemist, a nurse and ARMY. In 2014 I started watching Kdramas based on a random google recommendation. I loved the OSTs but just did not get into the Kpop scene or like any certain groups. In 2016 my son and I traveled to Korea for 2 weeks to do a Kdrama tour – Seoul, Jeju, Busan. We ate tteokboki, rode bikes in Hangang Park, went in Namsan tower, all the typical Kdrama touristy things. Fast forward to Hwarang and something about It’s Definitely You caught my ear. I added it to my playlist, started listening to more Kpop OST’s. In the…
Finding my Light
I am not talented in the field of writing, so I will just try and say this how it is. Often, you don’t know what you need the most in life until you find it and try to imagine life without it. I had known about BTS for at least a few months before I became an ARMY, but it was only mild interest and recognition of the name. I never bothered doing any research on them and stuck with my own mix of pop and bollywood music for awhile. Then one day, I stumbled upon a Youtuber’s reaction video to the Blood, Sweat and Tears MV and found that…
Lost, Then Found
‘I want them to have the world’, because they gave me back my world.
Nothing special, but there’s only 1 of me.
My story starts with just an average day channel surfing. I came across BTS performing, I didn’t know who they were at that time. It’s funny to write this but I honestly can’t remember which one caught my eye first, but not because of thier Good looks but it was as if “we” had made eye contact. Lol crazy I know. Fast forward and I started off slow into the rabbit hole. Music videos, translations and all that comes with them. I came to understand the message they were speaking. For me it was like getting reacquainted with my best friend. That one who always had good advice when you…
